Meet Josh
I became a therapist after experiencing the impact of therapy for myself during a period in my life when I was genuinely struggling. Since then, through my work with many incredible clients, I’ve seen again and again how powerful and meaningful therapy can be when it’s done well.
I believe insight alone is often not enough. Lasting change comes from developing a deeper understanding of yourself while also learning how to respond more effectively to anxiety, anger, and stress over time. This belief guides my work in therapy. I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I draw from evidence-based approaches, tailoring treatment to each person’s unique needs, goals, and pace.
You are capable of overcoming whatever you are struggling with, whether you choose to work with me, another therapist, or take a different path forward.
"The most important step a person can take is the next one."

When not working, you'll typically find me playing guitar, video games, or outside in nature - usually fishing or camping.
Here's How We Will Create Real Change
Step 1: Understand The Cycle
Before anything can change, we need clarity about what’s actually happening beneath the surface. That means identifying the cycles you keep getting pulled into, the emotional triggers that set things off, and the thoughts that reinforce the struggle. We look at how your specific nervous system and brain respond under stress and why this problem makes sense given your history. When the pattern becomes clear, it stops feeling random. And once it’s predictable, it becomes workable.
Step 2: A Plan Specific to You
Together, we will create a focused, practical strategy tailored to your specific situation and brain chemistry. This includes tools you can begin using immediately to interrupt unhelpful cycles, regulate emotions, and respond differently in real time. We also work on longer-term shifts that strengthen resilience and stability. You will leave sessions knowing what you’re working on and why. Improvement becomes intentional and structured rather than something you hope will happen.
Step 3: Real Growth
Tools help you cope; therapy helps you transform. Depending on your needs, this may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR for trauma, or other research-supported approaches. These methods target the underlying drivers of the problem rather than just the surface symptoms. The goal isn’t simply to manage the issue — it’s to reduce its power over you so it no longer runs your life.
